Fleming College’s President says she’s going to assist Peterborough Public Health and Peterborough Police as much as possible during an investigation into the Severn Court Student Resident COVID-19 outbreak.
Maureen Adamson says it’s important to remember a few bad apples don’t represent the school’s values.
Adamson says responsible students who follow the rules make up the majority of students at Fleming College. She also notes that the school will support any students who followed rules and still caught COVID-19 because of the actions of others.
So far, 44 positive COVID-19 cases has been reported by Peterborough Public Health in connection to the Severn Court Residence outbreak, while a total of 100 people have been identified as high risk close contacts. Adamson said in a letter to staff and students earlier this week that those found responsible for the outbreak will face the harshest possible sanctions.
