STUFF TO DO
Thursday: Women Fully Clothed — A comedy performance presented by Showplace Performance Centre at 7:30 pm. The show features Canadian comedic actors Jayne Eastwood, Teresa Pavlinek, Kathy Greenwood, and Robin Duke in a night of live comedy. Ticket prices range from $75.96 to $84.95.
Thursday: Riverview Park and Zoo accessible playground upgrades – public drop-in session — The City of Peterborough is hosting a community consultation from 6:30–7:30 pm at the Rotary Education Centre, Riverview Park and Zoo. Residents can learn about planned accessibility upgrades to the playground, part of the Project ROAR fundraising campaign, and share feedback on future park amenities.
Thursday: Trent Valley Archives AGM and musical presentation — A free public event takes place from 7–9 pm at Highland Park Cemetery Visitor Centre, Peterborough. The evening features Dr. Allan Kirby presenting traditional folk music from rural Ontario, including live musical examples and historical context, followed by a Q&A and the Trent Valley Archives annual general meeting. Light refreshments will be provided.
Friday: Valdy in concert — Canadian folk singer-songwriter Valdy performs at Market Hall Performing Arts Centre at 7 pm. The show features storytelling-driven acoustic folk music from the Juno Award-winning artist.
Friday: Butcher the Pig – The Movie Launch — Theatre on King hosts a fundraising launch event from 8–10 pm at 270 King St., Peterborough. The evening features a live staged reading of Butcher the Pig performed by the original cast, followed by a presentation from the creative team on the upcoming film adaptation and how the community can support the project ahead of production.
Friday and Saturday: ARTISANity – art show and sale — A bi-annual fundraising event supporting the Artisans Centre Peterborough takes place from 12–6 pm on Friday and 9 am to 3 pm on Saturday, in the lower level of Peterborough Square. The free event features handcrafted work from local artisans across Peterborough and the Kawarthas, including handmade gifts and home décor. Free parking is available nearby, including one-hour underground parking on Friday and free parking on Saturday.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday: Kawartha Potters’ Guild Spring Show & Sale — The annual spring sale runs all weekend at the Kawartha Potters’ Guild Studio, 993 Talwood Dr., Peterborough. The free event features work from 18 local potters, including functional pottery, décor pieces, jewellery, and garden items, with access to the year-round Gift Gallery. Potters will be on site to answer questions and share information about classes and workshops. Show hours: Friday 10 am–8 pm, Saturday 10 am–5 pm and Sunday 10 am–3 pm.
