Road resurfacing work on George Street in Peterborough is scheduled to begin Monday, April 27.
The project will run between McDonnel Street and Hunter Street and is expected to continue until June 7, weather permitting.
Daytime work will include curb and gutter replacements and infrastructure adjustments. Grinding and paving are scheduled overnight between 9 pm and 7 am to reduce daytime traffic impacts.
Temporary parking restrictions will be in place as needed, with signage posted in advance. Vehicles parked in restricted areas may be ticketed, towed, or impounded.
Anyone whose vehicle is towed can contact the City’s Municipal Law Enforcement and Security Services Division at 705-707-3969 on the next business day for details.
Residents can expect some noise and minor disruptions during the construction period.
