Clean Up Peterborough is bringing a popular circular economy celebration and learning event back to the Morrow Building this spring.
Billed as ‘Where Community, Creativity and Circular Living Meet,’ RE:Connect will be held April 15th, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and will bring together local organizations, makers and sustainability leaders showcasing practical and creative ways to reduce waste, reuse materials and rethink how everyday items can be reused.
The ultimate goal, says Clean Up Peterborough founder Steve Paul, is to keep still useful materials in use and out of the landfill.
Paul outlines his primary reason for founding RE:Connect, the first of which was held last fall.
Paul is heartened by the increasing number of items now accepted for curbside recycling.
