A 24-year-old Millbrook man is facing an impaired driving charge following a traffic stop early Thursday morning in Peterborough.
Police say officers were called at approximately 12:30 a.m. after a concerned resident reported a possible impaired driver in the area of George and Sherbrooke streets.
Officers located a vehicle matching the description on Aylmer Street and conducted a traffic stop. Investigators say the driver showed signs of impairment while speaking with police.
The man was arrested and charged with operation while impaired, with a blood alcohol concentration over the legal limit.
He was issued a 90-day licence suspension and a seven-day vehicle impoundment.
The accused was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled to appear in court on May 5th.
