A 15-year-old male from Peterborough is facing charges after threatening and demanding money from another individual.
The incident dates back to January 2026, when an exchange of items between the suspect and the victim took place. On Monday, March 16, officers with the Peterborough Police Service learned that the suspect had escalated the situation, sending ongoing threatening messages and demanding money from the victim.
Following an investigation, the teen was arrested and charged with:
- Extortion
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court today.
