The next phase of shaping Peterborough’s tourism future is now in the hands of the community.
A new survey is open, inviting residents and people in the tourism industry to weigh in on the draft direction of the city’s Tourism Strategy. The feedback will help refine a plan aimed at growing Peterborough as a competitive, sustainable, four-season destination.
The Community Feedback Loop Survey runs until March 22 at 11:59 pm and focuses on the proposed vision, goals, and strategic priorities developed from earlier consultation.
That earlier input came through a range of engagement efforts, including surveys, interviews, in-person community cafés, and virtual focus groups. The feedback collected so far has helped shape the draft strategy, which is expected to go before city council for approval this spring.
Work on the strategy began in the summer of 2025, with most community engagement taking place in the fall. The city has been working with Bannikin, an Ontario-based tourism consultancy, to guide the process.
Updates on the Tourism Strategy and access to the survey are available through the city’s online engagement platform.
