Residents and caregivers in the region can now access a free Information Guide and Directory, offering a comprehensive overview of local programs, services, and supports.
Created in partnership with Community Care, the City of Peterborough, Age-friendly Peterborough, and the United Way Peterborough and District, the guide is designed to help people 50 and older navigate topics such as health, nutrition, safety, recreation, volunteering, and housing options.
The housing section includes details on renting, retirement residences, long-term care, home modifications, and financial support. The guide also explains independent and assisted living, short-term stays, caregiver respite, and trial periods at retirement residences.
Copies are available at Service Peterborough, 500 George St. N., the Social Services Office, 185 Charlotte St., and the Peterborough County office, 470 Water St.
