The Campbellford Memorial Hospital Auxiliary has purchased new food transport equipment aimed at improving how meals are delivered to patients.
The auxiliary recently funded two Burlodge heating and cooling carts that help maintain safe temperatures for both hot and cold food as meals are transported from the kitchen to patient rooms.
Hospital officials say the carts will help ensure meals arrive as intended, which can improve patient satisfaction and support recovery.
“The Auxiliary is committed to supporting initiatives that directly impact patient care and comfort,” a representative of the auxiliary said. “We understand that nutrition is a key component of healing, and something as simple as serving meals at the proper temperature can make a meaningful difference in a patient’s hospital experience.”
Proper nutrition plays an important role in recovery, and hospital staff say serving meals at the right temperature can help encourage patients to eat and maintain their strength.
The auxiliary says the purchase reflects its ongoing efforts to support practical improvements that benefit patient care at Campbellford Memorial Hospital
