A 51-year-old woman from Kirkfield has died following a single-vehicle collision.
City of Kawartha Lakes OPP detachment responded around 7 a.m. on Saturday to a crash on Elm Tree Road between Star Road and Riley Lane.
Emergency crews, including Kawartha Lakes Fire Rescue Service and Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service, attended the scene. The driver, a 51-year-old woman, was transported to a local hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Elm Tree Road remained closed between Star Road and Riley Lane as officers trained in collision reconstruction documented the scene.
Police say the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
