Peterborough Haliburton YWCA has launched a search for new board members, issuing a call for women to step up and guide the organization’s governance and direction.
YWCA executive director Kim Dolan says while women of all ages and backgrounds are encouraged to apply, women aged 30 years old or younger are particularly sought. Dolan notes prior experience in the areas of truth and reconciliation, finance, governance and recruitment is a plus.
Dolan says Peterborough’s “strongly beating social justice heart” ensures some very good board candidates will come forward.
Dolan says new board members will inevitably bring fresh enthusiasm and new ideas.
