A person was taken to hospital after entering the water near Lock 19 in Peterborough.
At around 12:30 pm on Tuesday, the Peterborough Police Service received a report about a person in the water.
Upon arrival, officers located an individual and threw ropes to help them stay afloat. Members of Peterborough Fire Services also responded and assisted in bringing the person to safety.
The individual was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment.
