Buckhorn Garage and Jag Gas say they were not involved in, or aware of, illegal activity recently discovered on a leased portion of their property.
In a statement released this week, the family-owned business said the area in question had been leased to a third party and that the activity occurred without its knowledge or consent.
The business said it cooperated fully with law enforcement after becoming aware of the situation to ensure the matter was addressed appropriately. Buckhorn Garage and Jag Gas also said they are reviewing internal processes to strengthen oversight and reduce the risk of similar incidents in the future.
“As a family-owned business that has served this rural community for many years, we take this matter seriously,” the statement said, adding that the company’s commitment to honesty, integrity, and respect for neighbours remains unchanged.
The business emphasized that the safety of the community and the trust of customers remain top priorities and thanked the public for its continued understanding and support.
Buckhorn Garage and Jag Gas said they remain open for business, operating daily from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
