Three Peterborough men are facing charges after a man was assaulted and robbed in the city’s downtown last week.
Police say the incident happened around 11:50 pm last Wednesday, in the area of Reid and Simcoe Streets, where a man was attacked during an altercation. The victim suffered minor facial injuries and had their backpack stolen. Paramedics assessed the victim at the scene before taking them to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment.
A 29-year-old was arrested Friday and charged with assault causing bodily harm and robbery with a weapon.
That same day, a 42-year-old was also arrested and charged with assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with a probation order.
A third suspect, a 26-year-old, was located early yesterday morning while officers were responding to an unrelated call. He was charged with assault causing bodily harm and failing to comply with a probation order.
