Peterborough Transit will increase single-ride fares by 25 cents, following approval by city council during 2026 budget deliberations.
Under the new rates that start on January 19th, an adult single ride will rise to $3.50, up from $3.25, while a two-ride adult fare will increase to $7. A day pass covering two adults will cost $13, and a 10-ride pass will increase to $32.
Monthly passes are also going up, with adult 30-day passes set at $83, student passes at $77 and senior passes at $58. Senior annual and semi-annual passes will rise to $325 and $195, respectively. Transit cab fares will increase to $4.25.
Children aged 12 and under will continue to ride free. Passes can be purchased at the Transit Terminal, Lansdowne Place, or through the HotSpot app.
