The City of Peterborough has started curbside collection of natural Christmas trees for the month of January.
Collection will occur weather permitting and does not follow the regular curbside schedule. Residents do not need to call to request pickup.
Trees will be composted, but all decorations and tinsel must be removed and trees cannot be placed in plastic bags.
Residents are asked to place trees at the curb in a visible and safe location, avoiding snowbanks.
