Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a serious two-vehicle collision on Highway 7A in Janetville, City of Kawartha Lakes, on Wednesday morning.
The crash occurred around 10:32 am between Janetville Road and Yelverton Road. Emergency services, including fire, EMS, and Ornge Ambulance, responded. One driver was transported by Ornge to a Toronto trauma centre with serious injuries, while a passenger from the same vehicle was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the second vehicle was uninjured.
Highway 7A remained closed between Janetville Road and Yelverton Road while collision reconstruction specialists documented the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
