Peterborough Police are asking for help identifying a driver involved in a collision that left a pedestrian with minor injuries earlier this month.
The incident happened just before 3 p.m. on December 8 at the intersection of Monaghan Road and Cameron Street. Police say two pedestrians were crossing at the crosswalk when a grey pick-up truck struck them. The driver briefly stopped to check on the pedestrians, but no information was exchanged, and the vehicle left the scene after the pedestrians walked away.
One pedestrian sustained minor injuries, and because the collision was not properly reported, police are appealing to the driver or anyone with information to come forward.
A low-quality video of the incident is available, and officers are asking anyone who may have dash cam footage or other details to contact the Traffic Management Unit at 705-876-1122 ext. 289 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, or submit tips online at stopcrimehere.ca.
