Peterborough police are warning the public following the release of a 41-year-old man deemed a high-risk offender.
Steven Watson was released from custody on Saturday after completing his sentence. Police say Watson had been arrested in connection with multiple indecent-act incidents reported in Jackson Park between March 2024 and July 2025.
He remains bound by a prohibition order restricting him from public parks, swimming areas and other places where children may be present.
The Peterborough Police Service says it has released Watson’s name and photo under provisions of the Community Safety and Policing Act, citing public-safety concerns due to the nature of the previous offences. The service’s High Risk Unit is monitoring his release and notes he is subject to several conditions.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Peterborough police or Crime Stoppers.
