Three men from the Greater Toronto Area are facing charges following a November 24 incident at a business on Technology Drive.
Officers were called to a business on Technology Drive after staff discovered a potential theft. The business had received six phone orders from the same individual, and while employees were loading the items onto a truck, they were contacted by a resident in British Columbia who had been notified of fraudulent activity on their credit card. The business stopped loading the orders and kept the three men on site until police arrived.
As a result of the investigation:
-
A 51-year-old Brampton man was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
-
A 23-year-old Etobicoke man was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
-
A 36-year-old Newmarket man was charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
All three were released on an undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court on January 6.
