A 38-year-old Peterborough woman is facing a series of charges after police linked her to two thefts reported a day apart.
Police say officers with the Community F.I.R.S.T unit were called Friday to a business near Aylmer and Charlotte streets after several items were reported stolen the previous evening. After reviewing information from the store, officers identified a suspect.
The next day, while reviewing an online theft report, police say the same woman was recognized as the suspect in the earlier incident. She was arrested and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, eight counts of failing to comply with probation and one count of breaching a release order.
Police say the woman is currently bound by four probation orders that require her to keep the peace, be of good behaviour and stay away from all Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Peterborough. She is also under a release order requiring her to remain in her home between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
