A 43-year-old Peterborough man wanted on outstanding warrants is now facing several additional drug-related charges after being arrested earlier this week.
According to Peterborough Police, the arrest took place around 12:40 p.m. on Wednesday. Officers on bike patrol in the area of Bethune Street and Brock Street recognized the man and took him into custody on the strength of the warrants.
During a search following the arrest, officers reportedly found a quantity of drugs and other items associated with trafficking inside a backpack. Police say they seized 37.7 grams of cocaine, 7.6 grams of fentanyl, 10 hydromorphone pills, and a set of digital scales.
As a result of the investigation, the man has been charged with:

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking — Fentanyl

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking — Cocaine

Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking — Hydromorphone
The accused remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, October 24, 2025.
