St. Peter Catholic Secondary School will be closed to students today (October 17) due to an electrical issue that has caused a power outage at the school.
The Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board said the safety of students and staff is the top priority, and the school will remain closed while the issue is repaired. The board also confirmed that the school’s “Service for Seniors” program will be postponed.
Facilities staff and contractors will be working throughout the day to restore power. The school says families will be updated as soon as more information becomes available.
The board thanked families for their patience while repairs are carried out.
