After continued reports of drivers failing to yield at crosswalks and pedestrian crossovers, Ontario Provincial Police are reminding motorists to follow the rules of the road.
Constable James Clarke is urging everyone behind the wheel to stay alert and patient.
Cyclists are also required to follow the same rules. Failing to yield can result in steep fines and demerit points.
Clarke says the reminders come as complaints keep coming in from across the region.
The OPP is asking drivers to stay cautious and respectful—especially in areas where pedestrians have the right of way.
