Peterborough Police stopped 57 vehicles during a RIDE check Monday evening near Highway 7A and Highway 115 in Cavan Monaghan Township.
Two drivers were given roadside sobriety tests, with both passing.
RIDE, short for Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere, is part of the police service’s ongoing efforts to prevent impaired driving. The checks are conducted year-round in various locations.
In 2024, Peterborough Police carried out 17 RIDE operations, resulting in 130 impaired driving charges.
