Fresh off the success of its 2024-25 campaign, the United Way of Peterborough and District is providing full proof there’s no rest for the determined as it continues behind-the-scenes preparations for the next annual appeal.
Set to launch in September with a goal in excess of the $1,506,198 raised the past campaign, United Way staff are hard it, reaching out to past individual donors for support as well as lining up visits to workplaces to solicit their continued support.
In addition, the Campaign Cabinet is being finalized, bringing to bear the passion and expertise of community leaders representing a number of sectors.
United Way CEO Jim Russell says a mailer has gone out to past donors, serving the dual purpose of thanking them and soliciting their continued support.
Russell says while corporate and workplace giving is vital, the thousands of recurring individual donations, whatever the amount, are the foundation of campaign success.
Russell says while setting, and hitting, the campaign dollar goal is important, the continued need must be kept front of mind.
