A no-appointment-needed mental health clinic for children, youth and families is adjusting its hours this summer to better serve Peterborough-area residents.
The Talk Now Walk-In Clinic, based at Peterborough Youth Services, will operate Tuesdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. throughout July and August. The clinic, located at 459 Reid Street, normally runs from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., but is shifting hours to align with changing summer routines.
PTBOTODAY.ca spoke with Executive Director with Peterborough Youth Services Gord Langill, who says the process is simple.
Langill adds Talk Now offers immediate, single-session therapy, help connecting to long-term support, and confidential virtual care.
The clinic is part of a collaborative effort through the Peterborough Ontario Health Team, in partnership with seven community agencies including Kinark Child and Family Services, PRHC, Peterborough Family Health Team, FourCAST, Canopy and CMHA HKPR.
