A 43-year-old Lindsay man is facing multiple charges following a reported theft at a Peterborough business.
Peterborough Police say officers were called to the Home Depot around 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday for a theft in progress. When they arrived, they learned the suspect had allegedly tried to leave the store without paying and was detained by a Loss Prevention Officer.
Further investigation revealed the man was also wanted in connection with nine previous thefts from the same store over the past six months.
He was arrested and charged with 10 counts of theft under $5,000. The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
