The Peterborough Petes have signed forward Gerry DiCunzolo, their third-round pick in the 2025 OHL Priority Selection, to an OHL Standard Player Agreement.
DiCunzolo, a left-handed centre from Buffalo, N.Y., led Shattuck-St. Mary’s 15O squad in scoring last season, racking up 57 goals and 90 assists for 147 points across 62 games. He also topped his team in scoring at the USA 15-only National Championships with six points in four games.
“We’re very excited to announce that Gerry DiCunzolo has signed with the Petes,” said General Manager and Vice President of Operations Michael Oke. “He had a very strong season… and showed very well at development camp earlier in May.”
Described by OHL Director of Hockey Development Darrell Woodley as a dynamic and fearless playmaker with elite skating ability, DiCunzolo becomes the first member of the Petes’ 2025 draft class to commit.
“It’s a dream come true,” DiCunzolo said. “I’m looking forward to getting started and making an impact.”
He previously played under former Pete and Buffalo Sabre Patrick Kaleta with the Buffalo Jr. Sabres 13U in 2022-23.
