Students at Adam Scott Collegiate in Peterborough got an up-close look at the future of technology during a special visit from Ontario Power Generation.
The May 6 event gave students in Grades 9 through 12 a chance to explore drone and robotic technologies, try out high-tech tools, and learn about related career paths. Among the highlights were a Boston Dynamics robotic dog, flight simulators, FPV drones, and a drone operations truck equipped with retractable roofing.
Adam Scott’s own drone squadron was also on hand, showing off their latest projects and skills.
“We are delighted to explore career pathways in computers, robotics and technology with OPG and create dynamic, innovative and engaging opportunities for our students,” said Principal Laura Doucette.
The visit is part of the school’s broader focus on expanding its computer and robotics programming, with support from industry partners like OPG.
