The Ontario Provincial Police City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment is inviting local residents to help shape its next Detachment Action Plan.
As part of a provincewide update to the OPP Strategic Plan — reviewed every three years — the CKL Detachment is launching a community consultation phase to gather public feedback on safety priorities and policing concerns.
“In order to build an action plan that suits the community’s needs and expectations we need to hear from you,” said Inspector Robert Flindall, Detachment Commander. “You can let us know what you think the top policing priorities in Kawartha Lakes should be by filling out our quick online survey today.”
The survey, developed in partnership with the City of Kawartha Lakes, takes five to 10 minutes to complete and is available at: jumpinkawarthalakes.ca/opp-ckl-detachment-action-plan-update. Submissions will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on Friday, May 30th.
The OPP says the feedback will help identify community priorities, improve police-community relations, and align local enforcement with the broader Community Safety and Well-Being Plan.
