Stretches of Chemong Road and Towerhill Road will be getting upgrades.
The City of Peterborough has awarded a major road resurfacing project to Green Infrastructure Partners Inc., with construction scheduled to begin in early this month and wrap up by the end of June.
The project will see milling and paving work along Chemong Road from The Parkway Trail to the north leg of Milroy Drive, and on Towerhill Road from Old Towerhill Road to Chemong Road. Most work will take place overnight to reduce daytime traffic disruption.
To accommodate the project, drivers can expect lane shifts, temporary reductions to one lane in each direction, detours, and the closure of Milroy Drive’s north leg during active construction. Local traffic may experience delays throughout the work zone.
The improvements will include a new top lift of asphalt and updated pavement markings.
