The United Way of Peterborough and District is closer to its campaign goal than it been at this time of year in recent memory.
As of Monday, the goal of $1.5 million was just $117,000 away, with seven weeks remaining until the campaign wrap-up date of March 31st.
United Way community impact director Betsy MacDonald says while there’s a lot of excitement over where the campaign is at, there remains work to do.
MacDonald touches on some of the reasons the campaign has met success.
MacDonald says there are reasons for optimism as the campaign enters the final stretch.
Campaign donations can be made in person at 277 Stewart Street on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., by calling 705-742-8839 extension 3, online at https://give.unitedway.ca/donate/WPETER, or by purchasing tickets to Peterborough Performs: Musicians United To End Homelessness on March 26th at Showplace.
