Peterborough is set to receive another blast of winter weather, with Environment Canada forecasting 15 to 25 centimetres of snow from Wednesday evening into Thursday afternoon.
With heavy snowfall expected, the City of Peterborough is reminding residents to follow winter parking restrictions to keep streets clear for snowplows. Overnight on-street parking is banned from 2 am to 6 am until April 1st, with a $35 fine for violations.
During snow-clearing operations, parking is prohibited from midnight to 8 am, with an $80 fine and potential towing. Free overnight parking is available at municipal lots and parking garages.
Residents are also urged to place garbage and recycling bins in cleared areas to avoid interference with snow removal, and to be aware that some transit routes may be adjusted to designated Snow Routes if road conditions worsen.
