A police investigation into firearms and drug trafficking has resulted in four arrests in Haliburton County.
On Tuesday, officers from the Haliburton Highlands and Kawartha Lakes OPP Community Street Crime Unit, with assistance from the OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit (TRU), executed search warrants at two locations in Haliburton. The searches led to the seizure of firearms, ammunition, suspected drugs, and cash.
Shawn Harding, 37, of Haliburton, faces multiple charges, including possession of drugs for trafficking, careless storage of firearms, and possession of a prohibited firearm. He has been held for a bail hearing in Lindsay.
Amy Harman, 43, of Algonquin Highlands, has been charged with possession of a Schedule I substance and is scheduled to appear in Minden court at a later date.
Police did not release any details about the other two people who were arrested.
