The much-anticipated Miskin Law Community Complex, located at Park and Lansdowne streets, will officially open its doors on Wednesday, with a grand celebration that invites the entire community to join.
Festivities begin at 1 p.m. with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by an afternoon of free programming designed to showcase the facility’s many amenities.
The grand opening will feature the unveiling of a new Indigenous public art installation and the Mayor’s First Skate event, where residents are invited to lace up and take to the ice in the complex’s twin-pad arena.
In addition to the arena, the $68 million facility boasts an indoor walking track, multi-purpose community spaces, and will soon house a new branch of the Peterborough Public Library, set to open at a later date.
Visitors can also enjoy free yoga classes and explore all the features this state-of-the-art facility has to offer.
The City of Peterborough welcomes everyone to take part in this special occasion and experience firsthand the new spaces designed to bring the community together.
