The man is charged with theft under $5,000, obstructing a peace officer, and two counts of possessing property obtained by crime under $5,000. He is also wanted for similar offences in other jurisdictions.
The accused remains in custody and is set to appear in court today. Police are seeking information about a white cube van with Ontario license plate AW88359. Tips can be submitted to Peterborough Police or Crime Stoppers.
