The Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation is calling on community members to join its largest-ever fundraising effort, the Campaign for PRHC, by becoming volunteer ambassadors.
The initiative seeks to rally support for the hospital while raising funds for critical services, technology, and healthcare professionals.
“Everyone is welcome as an ambassador,” said Lesley Heighway, PRHC Foundation President & CEO. Volunteers will share their personal connections to PRHC, raise awareness, and help inspire others to get involved.
The campaign’s goal is to ensure that PRHC can continue to deliver world-class care close to home. Ambassadors are encouraged to share their stories, organize fundraising events, and network on behalf of the foundation.
Heighway highlighted the importance of community involvement, noting that PRHC is seen as a “cornerstone” of the region, providing care during some of the most meaningful moments in people’s lives. “We want to help you share that passion,” she added.
Volunteers and donors play a crucial role in the foundation’s work, and their involvement is key to addressing the hospital’s challenges and ensuring a healthier future for the community.
