Fleming College has launched its new strategic plan, “Fleming F1rst,” aimed at renewing the institution with a sharp focus on delivering an exceptional student experience.
The plan emphasizes operational effectiveness and a sustainable future for the college, aligning with its mission to be a leader in applied health, skilled trades education, and applied research.
The strategic plan outlines nine priority areas of impact, each with measurable goals to guide the college’s growth and innovation. Developed through engagement with staff, students, and community partners, it reflects the values of community, courage, innovation, and inclusiveness.
“This plan is a compass, guiding our direction,” said Maureen Adamson, President of Fleming College. “We are confident that we will achieve our shared vision of excellence, opportunity, and success in our region and beyond.”
With a strong emphasis on enhancing skilled trades programs, expanding applied research, and leading in applied health education, the plan ensures Fleming’s position as a leader in both academics and community involvement.
“Central to our mission is the pursuit of innovation and excellence,” added Don Gillespie, Chair of Fleming’s Board of Governors, underscoring the college’s commitment to empowering students with the skills and knowledge to succeed in a rapidly changing world.
