Peterborough Police have released details of a fatal collision over the weekend in the area of North Monaghan Parkway and Dobbin Road.
Officers responded to a 911 call around 3:00 a.m. Saturday, after a pedestrian had been hit.
The driver remained at the scene and attempted to provide first aid until emergency responders arrived. The victim, a 17-year-old male from the Township of Cavan-Monaghan, was transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The area was closed for approximately eight hours as the Peterborough Police Service’s Traffic Unit and collision reconstruction team conducted their investigation.
