A lot of water has passed under the bridge that is St. Anne Catholic Elementary School and that is well worth celebrating.
On September 19th at the Barnardo Avenue school, that’s exactly what will happen as St. Anne marks its 75th anniversary with a 6 p.m. open house featuring artifacts and memories galore.
Catholic school board communications manager Galen Eagle says St. Anne opened in 1949 and is one of the board’s oldest schools
Eagle says during the lead-up to the celebration, the hunt is on for school-related artifacts and memorabilia that can be displayed at the open house.
Eagles says with education today facing many challenges, it’s important to reflect on the continued success of longstanding schools and the role that community has had in their success.
