Peterborough Police and Ministry of Transportation inspectors conducted a commercial vehicle inspection blitz last week.
Out of 16 vehicles inspected, seven were taken out of service due to safety concerns. Two plates were also seized, and 12 Provincial Offence Notices were issued for various infractions, including improper tires and brake issues.
Notably, a transport driver training company had one of its vehicles taken out of service while training a new driver. That vehicle was deemed unsafe and was removed from the road.
