A 49-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested and charged in connection with multiple incidents over the last few months.
On Tuesday at around 2:15pm, police responded to a robbery in progress at a bank near Chemong Road and Wolsley Street. Upon arrival, officers found the suspect being held by another customer, after he had entered the bank with a can of lighter fluid and demanded money.
Further investigation linked him to a July 19th robbery at the same bank as well as a break and enter at a gas bar on Lansdowne Street West on April 1st.
The man is now facing several charges, including robbery with violence, disguise with intent, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
He is being held in custody and is set to appear in court today.
