For many years, people have flocked to Kawartha Downs on Saturday nights to watch horse racing – but that tradition is changing.
A decision has been made to change race night to Fridays instead.
Director of Harness Racing, Jim Huck, says this move was made to accommodate other events.
Huck adds that the move makes sense from a planning standpoint.
The 2024 harness racing season will feature 18 dates with opening day set for tonight.
All the action begins at 7pm.
