St. Peter Secondary School students have again done Terry Fox proud, bringing in the second highest amount of money amongst Ontario high schools.
During the 2023-24 school year, St. Peter students raised $44,358.66 – every penny destined for the Terry Fox Foundation.
Teacher Kevin O’Neill says while St. Peter has maintained its high ranking, the means by which it brings in donations has changed with the times.
O’Neill says in-school events to increase student buy-in remain very much in place.
In terms of raising school spirit, O’Neill says St. Peter students’ work on behalf of the Terry Fox Foundation is a proven winner.
Peterborough’s Holy Cross raised just more than $14,000 to place 13th in the Ontario high school rankings.
