Paul Rellinger was crowned the recipient of the United Way’s Champion of Change Award.
It was the work done on Peterborough Performs, a charity concert benefitting the organization and its partners, that put Rellinger up for the award.
This year, Peterborough Performs IV raised more than $30,000 for homelessness initiatives. Rellinger, who contributes to PTBOToday.ca, said he feels a sense of satisfaction that he’s been recognized, but feels that this is bigger than himself.
He says the event couldn’t happen by himself.
He left off with some heartfelt words.
