The Rotary Club of Peterborough Curling Team were the big winners at the recent Rotary Can-Am Curling Championships held at the Rice Lake Curling Club in Wisconsin. Led by Skip Ken Seim, the team clinched the championship title in a thrilling final match against the USA team.
Facing off against formidable opponents, the Peterborough team’s exceptional performance not only secured them the prestigious championship trophy but also earned them a coveted spot in the upcoming Rotary Worlds Curling Championships that will be hosted by Scotland in 2026.
With a spot in Scotland now secured, the team will now focus on their next challenge: the 27th Rotary World Curling Championships that are set to take place at the Peterborough Curling Club from April 6th-12th.
This international event promises a week of fierce competition as curlers from around the world flock to Peterborough for a chance to be proclaimed the world’s best. Organized and hosted by members of the Peterborough Rotary Clubs, the competition will feature teams from Canada, USA, Scotland and England, with 180 curlers and their partners expected to take part.
Along with skip Seim, the other members of the Peterborough team are vice Nick Avlonitis, Second Joe Kapron, and Lead Bill Crins.
