Peterborough may soon have a Canadian curling champion in its midst.
At the Ontario Under-18 Women’s Curling Championship held last weekend in Ottawa, Team Vivier, for which Toula Pappas is second, won the title, winning six of seven games overall. The foursome will now represent Ontario at the Canadian under-18 championship in early February.
Pappas, a first-year Trent student, admits to “jumping for joy” when all was said and done.
Pappas is very pleased with her performance at the tourney.
Pappas adds becoming a Canadian champion has been a long held dream
After the Canadian championship, the foursome will compete at the Ontario Winter Games in late February.
