The City of Peterborough is extending an invitation to residents to take an active role in shaping the future of our community. Applications are now being accepted for positions on four of the city’s advisory committees.
The city’s legislated and advisory committees play a vital role in providing input and guidance on municipal services and programs that directly impact Peterborough. These committees offer an opportunity for you to contribute your expertise and perspectives to help make our city a better place for all.
Applicants for these voluntary positions are required to be residents of the City of Peterborough, with applications diligently reviewed by the Citizen Appointment Selection Committee. The committee will then make recommendations to City Council for their consideration.
There are current vacancies on the following committees, each with terms extending until December 2026:
- Accessibility Advisory Committee – 4 vacancies
- Peterborough Environmental Advisory Committee – 6 vacancies
- Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee – 3 vacancies
- Property Standards Committee – 1 vacancy
For those interested in applying, applications can be accessed online or by filling out a hard copy at the Clerk’s Office at City Hall.
The submission deadline for applications is Friday, November 10th, at 4:30 p.m.
The City encourages all eligible residents to consider applying for this unique opportunity to be a part of helping build a better Peterborough for everyone.
