For those who salivate at the very mention of roast beef, an upcoming fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity will prove most appetizing.
Billed as Sunday Dinner At The ReStore, the October 22nd event at Habitat’s used item store on Milroy Drive will feature a roast beef dinner with all the trimmings, with all proceeds going to Habitat’s development of a 12-unit affordable condo project on Leahy’s Lane.
Habitat for Humanity communications and donor services manager Jenn MacDonald says hosting a dinner fundraiser is a perfect fit with the agency’s mandate.
Being held for the first time, Sunday Dinner At The Restore involves more than good eats.
The condo development that that proceeds will benefit complements a 41-unit Habitat for Humanity development also on Leahy’s Lane. MacDonald notes both projects highlight a new direction for the agency.
Tickets for Sunday Dinner At The Restore cost $125 with a $65 tax receipt provided. To order, visit www.habitatpkr.ca or phone 705-874-0201.
